Raymond Ford Scores 2 Knockdowns in TKO3 Win For Win No. 7

HOLLYWOOD, Florida (November 7, 2020) — Camden, New Jersey’s undefeated Featherweight Raymond Ford soundly defeated Mexico’s Rafael Reyes in the opening bout of the Devin Haney vs. Yuriorkis Gamboa Lightweight championship defense card. The bout streamed live on DAZN from inside Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

The 21-year old southpaw dropped Reyes (18-11, 7 KOs) twice in three rounds with a pair of punishing left hands. Ford (7-0, 3 KOs) fought sharply and appeared to be more aggressive in his second outing in a Matchroom Boxing-organized quarantine setting. In contrast, he earned a six-round unanimous decision over Eric Manriquez in Tulsa, Okla. back on August 15.

Ford’s second knockdown came from a left hand that knocked Reyes through the bottom two ropes. Reyes managed to get up and fight on, but Ford pressed him with a fierce flurry of shots that Reyes struggled to defend. Referee Frank Gentile separated the two fighters, and stopped the fight at 1:26.
