Phoenix Fighters Shown The Red Carpet on Beltran-Pedraza Undercard

Top Rank will feature many up and coming fighters from the Phoenix area on the undercard of the highly anticipated matchup between Ray Beltran and Jose Pedraza. Highly touted prospects Francisco De Vaca and Trevor Mccumby will be featured in separate bouts on the Beltran-Pedraza ESPN undercard from the Gila River Arena in Glendale, AZ. Carlos Castro and Breenan Macias will also fight in front of the hometown crowd. Mikaela Mayer will be featured in a showcase fight.

Francisco De Vaca (18-0, 6 kos) will square off against Mexican veteran Jesus Serrano (17-6-2, 12 kos) in a 10 round featherweight bout. De Vaca is the former NABF Super Bantamweight champion and holds a victory over former World champion Victor Proa. De Vaca is coming off a win over fringe contender Christian Esquivel.

Light Heavyweight Tyler McCumby (23-0, 18 kos) returns to the ring after a failed drug test sidelined him for 2 years. Mccumby will face Midwest veteran Jesse Nicklow (27-7-3, 9 kos). The hard hitting Mccumby will look to get his once promising career back on track.


2012 Bronze World Champions and 2016 Olympian Mikaela Mayer will be featured in a showcase, 6 round lightweight bout. Mayer (6-0, 3 kos) of Los Angeles, CA will face former World Title challenger Edina Kiss (15-7, 9 kos) of Budapest, Hungary. Mayer is on a small list of marketable female fighters trying to take sport of women’s boxing to the next level.



Super Bantamweight Carlos Castro (20-0, 9 kos) will square off against Mexican veteran Diuhl Olguin (12-11-2, 9 kos). Castro is the current WBC United States champion after defeating Mayweather Promotions Alexis Santiago in February. Castro is currently rated #15 by the WBC.


Local Bantamweight Breenan Macias (2-0, 1 ko) will kick off all the action in a 4 round bout against Phillip Adyaka (7-11, 4 kos) of St. Paul, Minnesota.
